Nova Receives Bell Seal for Workplace Mental Health
This is the third consecutive year Nova has earned Platinum level recognition
Nova Healthcare Administrators, Inc. has been awarded the 2024 Platinum Bell Seal for Workplace Mental Health by Mental Health America (MHA). The Bell Seal certification recognizes employers who strive to create mentally healthy workplaces for their employees, with platinum serving as the highest level of distinction. This is the third year in a row Nova has earned the Bell Seal.
Only 1 in 4 employers meet the standards for Bell Seal certification. To receive this prestigious designation, Nova underwent a rigorous evaluation of its policies and practices in four areas: workplace culture, benefits, compliance, and wellness programs. Nova received an overall score of 90 out of 100, with a perfect 100 percent for workplace culture and wellness programs.
“Health is at the forefront of what we do and that starts with our own associates,” said James Walleshauser, president, Nova. “We are dedicated to fostering an environment that champions the holistic wellness of our team, encompassing physical, social, mental, and emotional health. Our goal is that everyone feels valued, supported, and empowered to thrive both personally and professionally. We are honored to receive the Bell Seal for Workplace Mental Health once again because it underscores our continued efforts and belief that if we take care of our associates, they will take care of our clients, members and one another.”
Nova’s receipt of the Bell Seal for Workplace Mental Health reflects not only the company’s commitment to wellbeing from its leadership, but the efforts of its associate-led wellness committee, called Renovations. Their activities include a popular hiking club, the Nova Navigators, to promote associate engagement and joyful movement. Nova also strives to support associates through flexible working arrangements, regular company-wide meetings and internal communications, as well as a robust total rewards package that includes numerous mental and behavioral health resources.
