Nova Awarded Bell Seal for Workplace Mental Health
Nova joins just 2 in 5 employers that meet standards for certification
Nova Healthcare Administrators, Inc. has been awarded the 2025 Platinum Bell Seal for Workplace Mental Health by Mental Health America (MHA). The Bell Seal certification recognizes employers who strive to create mentally healthy workplaces for their employees, with platinum serving as the highest level of distinction. This is the fourth year in a row Nova has earned the Bell Seal.
The Bell Seal recognizes employer advances in workplace mental health by awarding Bronze, Silver, Gold, and Platinum recognition. Only two in five employers meet the standards for Bell Seal certification. To receive this prestigious designation, Nova underwent a rigorous evaluation of its policies and practices in four areas: workplace culture, benefits, compliance, and wellness programs. Nova received an overall score of 94 out of 100, with a perfect 100 percent for wellness programs.
Gaining status as a Bell Seal recipient demonstrates Nova’s ongoing commitment to associate mental health and well-being.
“Health is at the forefront of what we do and that starts with our own associates,” said James Walleshauser, president, Nova. “We are committed to creating a workplace that prioritizes holistic well-being — encompassing physical, social, mental, and emotional health. Our goal is to ensure every associate feels valued, supported, and empowered to thrive both personally and professionally. Earning the Bell Seal for Workplace Mental Health once again reaffirms our belief that when our team is at their best, they can better serve our clients, members and one another.”
Nova’s receipt of the Bell Seal for Workplace Mental Health reflects not only the company’s commitment to wellbeing from its leadership, but the efforts of its associate-led wellness committee, called Renovations. Their activities include a popular hiking club, the Nova Navigators, to promote associate engagement and joyful movement. Nova also strives to support associates through flexible working arrangements, regular company-wide meetings and internal communications, as well as a robust total rewards package that includes numerous mental and behavioral health resources.
