Nova celebrates seven consecutive years of being honored

We're thrilled to share the incredible news that Nova Healthcare Administrators, Inc. has been honored as one of the "Best Companies to Work For in New York" for the seventh consecutive year! This achievement reflects the unwavering dedication and collaborative spirit of our exceptional team. We are grateful to the incredible individuals who make Nova an outstanding workplace.

This statewide survey and awards program is designed to identify and honor the best places of employment in New York, benefiting the state's economy, its workforce and businesses.

Whether meeting a client deadline or getting together for a Nova Navigators hike at a local park, Nova associates work hard and have fun. A variety of associate-led groups, including a Diversity Council, Renovations wellness committee and Nova in the Neighborhood volunteer and giving committee offer the opportunity to connect with one another, grow and make an impact on the company and community.

“People are caring and many coworkers have now become family to me. I consider Nova a great place to work because the company cares about and supports its employees,” Marisa L., core system lead.

The annual Best Companies awards program is presented by the New York State Society for Human Resource Management (NYS-SHRM), Best Companies Group and BridgeTower Media/ Rochester Business Journal. Companies from across the state entered the two-part survey process to determine the Best Companies to Work for in New York. The first part consisted of evaluating each nominated company’s workplace policies, practices, and demographics. The second part consisted of an employee survey to measure the employee experience. The combined scores determine the top companies and the final rankings, which will be announced at an awards ceremony on April 18 in Albany, NY.

Administering self-funded health care plans is more than just a job for our people. Nova’s culture is built to serve as a client-centric, cross-functional team of experts empowered to create efficiencies to achieve client satisfaction and deliver a high level of customer service internally and externally. In 2023, we began development efforts to function as a High-Performing Team. High-Performing Teams operate with an increased sense of accountability and empowerment at all levels, and leverage collaboration for win-win outcomes, faster issue identification and decision-making.

We also conduct regular pulse checks to ensure associates have ample opportunities to provide feedback on our culture.

Speaking of our dedicated team members, this achievement is as much theirs as it is ours. Their hard work, creativity, and commitment have been instrumental in maintaining Nova's status as a top workplace. Each one of our associates plays a crucial role in shaping the positive and empowering culture that has earned us this prestigious recognition.
